A Few New Garden Projects

Its been another odd spring/ summer weather year. None the less,I have been busy “puttering around” ( as my mother would say) the yard. If you have been following my blogs you will know that I always have multiple ideas and projects swirling around in my head. This year is no different!

I finally tried making some Hypertufa pots and am waiting for them to cure. For those unfamiliar, they are a lighter  version of a concrete pot generally used for succulents made from a mixture of peat moss, Portland cement and perlite. They need to stay wrapped in plastic for about one month to slow cure before filling with plants.More to follow….

Since acquiring my own garden shed  last summer, I have been coming up with cute ideas to decorate it inside and outside. Came up with the idea for a small vignette with mini birdhouses I bought for $1 each at JoAnne Fabrics. Here is the result:

Vertical Gardens have captured my attention for quite a while now. Here is my attempt a pallet garden. Shown here it is newly planted:

Will post again once it fills in. I have added a few more plants to it since I took this picture.
