Here we are at week 4 in my 12 weeks of wine tasting. This week I’m reviewing another Modesto , CA red varietal.
Dark Horse- Original Big Red Blend
Cool Horse wine cork is a bonus 🙂 Saving these for a future project. The cork wreath in the background was created with corks I’ve saved with a little help from my friends.

Full bodied red. Dark with a nice fruity warmth and long finish.
“The last impression of a wine is the finish: The taste that stays on the palate after the wine has been swallowed. The length of the finish is the final indicator of the wine’s quality.”

A+ I enjoyed this wine with my supper of stuffed peppers and homemade cheese and chive sourdough biscuits.
Very satisfying selection for me. I’m putting this one on my favorites .
