I am a red wine lover. I like mine dark and full bodied for the most part. When I drink wine ( and beer) I want to delight my taste buds and experience a little oomph after each sip.

A friend of mine gifted me her old wine rack which I try to keep stocked. I do have my favorites but i also like variety. Variety is the spice of life , right? So I am always on the look out for new wines to try to maybe discover a new favorite.

Recently I replenished my rack with 12 new red varietals- the store was running a discount promotion on US vinted wines if you bought a dozen.

I thought it would be fun to write a brief review on each bottle. I’ll critique one new wine a week .So here begins my quest to find a new favorite.

#1 Barefoot- Sweet Red Blend

light and sweet -appetizer wine- good with cheese and crackers or light fare- would be a perfect summer wine.

B -Overall good- but not much oomph .
